Buying a House to Renovate

The Mahoning County Land Bank’s Deed-in-Escrow Program allows an owner-occupant or investor to buy a house already owned by the Land Bank for a modest purchase price. The deed is held in escrow until the buyer completes a renovation with their own funds that brings the house up to meet a community’s housing code, inside and out. The Land Bank provides a detailed specification and estimate for the renovation investment.
